(first rehearsal) while studying for my masters at CalArts this piece was originally commissioned by William Powell for solo clarinet solo, piano drones, and abelton live. in this recording i arranged the work for a soloist, clarinet choir and piano. we talked about the piece before briefly, pressed record and then played it once. it will be premiered friday june 21st 2013 at Claremont College.
